Welcome back to IAA! We're kicking off another artful year with a few art installations about being respectful in school. 2nd grade and STEP students practiced being respectful of their own learning by keeping their bodies in control (see dot paintings above and below). Each student worked to keep his/her paintbrush still for these careful paintings. Also pictured below, students in grades 1-5 demonstrated respect for others in the making of the grid installation. Each student designed a square and then asked politely to trade papers with another student at his/her table, resulting in a school wide collaboration. Click to enlarge the images.
